Nature's Beauty in Verse

Morning spills gold across the hills,

Soft as a whispered prayer,
And mist unlaces silver threads
Through cool and patient air.

The river hums in liquid light,
A ribbon bright and free,
It carries secrets of the stones
And songs of root and tree.

The forest lifts a thousand hands
Of emerald, jade, and pine,
Each leaf a quiet miracle
In sunlit, shifting shine.

Wildflowers stitch the meadow’s hem
With petals brushed in flame,
And every breeze that wanders through
Calls each by secret name.

Above, the sky vast cathedral
Holds clouds in drifting art,
While mountains carve their ancient vows
In earth’s enduring heart.

At dusk, the amber fades to rose,
Then violet, deep and slow,
As stars like scattered lanterns bloom
In twilight’s tender glow.

O patient earth, in every breath
Your wonders rise and start
A boundless, blooming testament
To still the restless heart.

Unexpected Blessings in Grief

There are blessings no one would ever choose the price for.

If you had asked me before loss, I would have said, "No blessing is worth this kind of pain."

And I still believe that.

But grief has a strange way of uncovering things you never knew were buried inside you.

As a widow, I discovered strength I never asked for. Faith I didn't know I could lean on. Compassion that only comes from sitting with broken hearts. A voice that now encourages women I once thought I could never understand.

The difficult season didn't feel like a blessing.
It felt like survival.

But somewhere between the tears, the unanswered questions, and learning to live again, God planted seeds I couldn't see.

He taught me that joy can return.
That laughter isn't betrayal.
That healing doesn't mean forgetting.
And that a shattered life can still become a beautiful testimony.

Some blessings don't arrive wrapped in happiness.
They grow quietly in the soil of our hardest seasons.

If you're in that place today, keep going.

One day you'll look back and realize that while the storm changed you, it didn't destroy you. It grew something in you that nothing else could.

Not every difficult season makes sense.
But sometimes, the most unexpected blessings are born from the chapters we never wanted to live.
